Agricultural sector

Aras de los Olmos has traditionally been a rural municipality with agriculture, livestock and mining as its main sources of wealth. Even today the agricultural sector is an economic sector of special importance for its inhabitants.

The Big History Centre is committed to improving these productive processes by incorporating scientific advances through research and the dissemination of knowledge.

The reparcelling and sensorisation of its fields, the incorporation of new technologies, innovation as a way of increasing yields and finding new market niches are all part of what science can contribute to the agricultural sector in mountain villages.
