Aras de los Olmos, slow city

The `slow city´ movement, started in 1999 with the aim of combating the current frenetic pace of life, has become an international network to which Aras de los Olmos aspires to belong.

The way to become a peaceful and friendly town is to build policies that respect the environment and the people who live there: the recovery and recycling of waste; the improvement of the territory; the use of technological advances; food products obtained using natural techniques; the promotion of local products linked to the territory; hospitality; and awareness of the importance of a slow philosophy in our lives.
