Starlight Territory

In November 2018 the area on which the Astronomical Observatory of Aras de los Olmos sits has been accredited as a Starlight Tourist Destination; a certification that accredits the high quality of the night sky of this territory.

The municipalities that are attached to this certification of Startlight Alto Turia Tourist Destination are Aras de los Olmos, Titaguas, La Yesa, Alpuente, Tuéjar, Chelva and Benagéber.

This recognition places Aras de los Olmos among the best watchtowers in the world to observe the stars.
